Welcome to the 2022 season of Terrey Hills Table Tennis. We hope you will enjoy the games including rising to the challenges and overcoming adversity. The following guidelines will ensure the social and competition runs effectively.
- Common Courtesies of the Game
Players’ table tennis is played in a “spirit of friendship and mutual assistance”. ITTF table tennis rules apply to all matches. See http://www.ittf.com/ittf_handbook/ittf_hb.html. Common courtesies of the game include:
- No rudeness or offensive language.
- Players are expected to behave respectfully to their opponents and acknowledge each other and the umpire at the completion of each match. No hand shaking or hugs during COVID please
- Players are expected to be available and ready to play when required.
- Each player should take their turn at umpiring matches. Umpires must clearly call the score.
- Dress Code
The dress code for table tennis is of a general nature based on respect for each other and, where appropriate, our duty of care toward young players.
- White or very light clothing is prohibited as it makes it difficult to see the white ball.
- Clothing should be conservative in nature. No midriff or buttocks should be visible for men or women.
- Inappropriate Behaviour
Inappropriate behaviour may result in a reprimand, a fine and or suspension. In serious cases of misbehaviour, the allegations will be dealt with by the Member Protection Officer.
In the first instance, where an allegation of inappropriate behaviour is confirmed, the perpetrator will be asked to provide a written apology and make a commitment that such behaviour will not occur again.
- The perpetrator of repeated or highly inappropriate behaviour will be dealt with by Terrey Hills Table Tennis under their Member Protection provisions.

I have read a copy of the Terrey Hills Table Tennis 2022 Code of Conduct, understand and I agree to abide by it. A violation of this code can result in a disciplinary action, up to and including termination and/or removal from the club.
